One element that Ys has always been good at is combat, which here works very similarly to Memories Of Celceta. Personally, I’m a huge fan of JRPGs, the problem being that I often don’t have time to play them. So it’s with trepidation I started Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on Nintendo Switch, and I settled in for what I was prepared to be the long haul. Ys VIII is finally out on the Nintendo Switch.

Ys VIII begins with longtime hero Adol and his friend Dogi on a huge passenger ship when, out of nowhere, the vessel is attacked by a gargantuan sea monster and destroyed.

I really love this game. I love the gameplay mechanics, characters and story. It includes 18 DLC, and Ys VIII adventure plus.

I've had my eye on this game for a while now, but haven't actually pulled the trigger when it comes to getting it. I've played a few Ys games before and enjoyed them, but this one is still at full price tag if I want to buy digital and not a used physical copy. 2018-07-12 Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of Dana is a title that takes a while to get going, maybe too long, which may be enough to put some people off early and the story is rather sub-par.
